With six long-established schools in Massachusetts, Blaine is one of the most recognized names in cosmetology. Blaine the school was established over 30 years ago by Henri Blaine, and later acquired by the school division of the Regis Corporation. In 2007, the school division of Regis merged with Empire Beauty Schools to form one of the largest networks of cosmetology schools in North America - Empire Education Group.

Blaine the School offers a 1000 hour Cosmetology program at each of the six locations in Boston, Framingham, Hyannis, Lowell, Malden, and Waltham, and a 1500 program for New Hampshire students. The programs focus on cutting, styling, coloring, and business development.

Blaine's 150 hour Nail Technology program concentrates on basic manicure and pedicure techniques, artificial nail sculpting, and the art of nail design at the Hyannis, Lowell and the Malden campuses.

The Esthetics Program teaches students how to apply facial massages, waxing, body treatments, and more. This program is offered at the Lowell, Waltham and Hyannis campuses students may choose between the 300 or 600 hour courses. An advanced 900 hour course is offered at the Lowell campus.
